About Us

Welcome to the Healed Black Girl Movement — a sacred space where Black women come home to themselves.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower Black women to take charge of their healing by embracing their full, authentic selves.
We believe that authenticity begins with healing — healing from the stereotypes that have tried to define us, from the pressure to overwork and overgive, from undervaluing ourselves, and from the emotional, sexual, and generational wounds that too many of us carry.
Through community gatherings, resource-sharing, and soulful teachings, we create space for Black women to release what no longer serves them and reclaim their wholeness.

Our Vision

We envision a thriving community of Black women who are deeply committed to their healing journey — not just in theory, but in practice.
This is not a space for hate, judgment, self-neglect, or excuses. This is a space for radical healing, soft landings, open-hearted conversation, and growth.
It is a space where we uplift one another, where we show up in vulnerability and power, and where we are reminded: you are not alone, and you don’t have to heal alone.

Your Part in the Movement

Right now, Healed Black Girl is focused on one powerful thing: changing the narrative.

For too long, Black women have been praised for their strength — but much of that “strength” has come at the cost of our softness, our truth, and our emotional well-being. We’ve suppressed our emotions and true selves for far too long.

Before we can gather as a true community, we need to be clear about what we’re doing — and what we’re undoing.

This movement starts with positive, realistic, supportive, and affirming messaging. Our content — from blog letters to Instagram posts — is meant to ground you, challenge you, and gently push you toward a more authentic, healed version of yourself.

We speak to strength, but also to fortitude. To vulnerability. To spirit, joy, peace, and community.
We’re not rushing healing — we’re moving with intention.

If that resonates with you, we ask that you:

  • Read the words.

  • Reflect honestly.

  • Commit to healing and unlearning.

  • Begin to live what healing looks like.

And when you're ready — join us. Events are coming soon. Until then, join the mailing list to stay connected and be the first to know when we begin gathering in person and online.
