Are We in a Collective Healing Era?

Dear Healed Black Girl,

I might be biased, but I really feel like we’re collectively entering a season of healing—and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

Lately, I’ve been paying attention to what people are saying on TikTok and social media, and here’s what I’m noticing:

People are fed up with dating.
People are burned out at work.
People are struggling with friendships.
People are starting to reconnect with themselves and enjoy their own company.
People are beginning to embrace the concept of healing—because they’re realizing that whatever this is? It’s not working.

It’s just a feeling, but… do you feel it too?

It’s like we’re going through a collective factory reset.
We’re redefining what happiness looks like.
We’re reimagining what it means to live life on our terms.
We’re decentering people and returning to ourselves—relearning what it means to sit in solitude.

And honestly, I think that’s powerful.
Because solitude can be deeply healing. It disrupts attachment.
And according to Buddha, attachment is the root of suffering.

So maybe this reset is exactly what we need.

Anyway, just an observation.

But I’m curious:
What are you noticing? Where do you think we’ll be—collectively—in 5 years, in terms of healing?

With love,
A fellow Healed Black Girl
